Supply of materials, equipment and labor for the reinforcement of 6 mooring dolphins and the installation of 10 new quick release hooks (QRH) for the AES ANDRES LNG terminal, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

VOPAK PANAMA ATLANTIC – Vopak New Hose Tower and Pipeline Replacement

EPC for the replacement of the Hose Tower located on the platform of the south pier in Terminal de Bahía Las Minas, Colón Panama, which
serves the terminal for the unloading of fuels from ships of up to 75,000DWT, storage and transfer to other ships. The dismantling of the existing tower and the assembly of the new tower was carried out with maritime equipment.

Power Barge Dock

Construction of a finger pier for a pipe rack, a small truck loading area, and access to fuel barge moorings.  Construction of mooring dolphins and pile guides on the side of the owner’s power barge.

Furnish and install sub-sea cooling water discharge HDPE pipeline 30″ in diameter with risers. All materials and equipment were mobilized from Panama. Ocean transport on IMI barges.

VOPAK – Panama Terminal Expansion – Marine Works BLM1A

The project was developed under EPC modality and consisted of the design, supply, and construction of marine facilities for a tank farm located at Bahia Las Minas. The marine terminal is designed to operate with 80,000 DWT and 10,000 DWT vessels, and consists of the following elements:

  • Berthing and mooring structures, required to receive product vessels (Monopile diameters between 2.0 m and 2.5 m with weights of up to 102 tons)
  • A Loading platform, required for the support of loading equipment including power packs, gangway systems, and piping.
  • A 175m approach trestle, required for the support of product and utility lines between ship and shore and access for pedestrians and man pulled trolleys to the loading platform.
  • Supply and installation of marine equipment (quick release hooks, fenders, bollards and navigation lights).
  • Supply and installation of the cathodic protection system.

ENERGÍA 2000 – Specialized studies and PDA

On-Shore and Off-Shore static tests were performed by IMI. The Off-Shore load test was carried out at a depth of approximately 15 m below sea level, using a Jack-Up Barge self-elevating platform, support barges, auxiliary platform, piles, reaction beams, and high capacity cranes belonging to IMI. Dynamic tests and geotechnical drilling were carried out to understand the soil conditions.

MPSA – Intake Concrete Caisson

Construction of a pump station for a thermoelectric plant cooling system. Project under EPC modality which consists of the construction of a pump station on land, after which it will be transported, launched to sea and sunk at its final position. The structure carries a weight in excess of 5,000 tons. The project includes the construction of a launch ramp and various underwater fill and protection works.

Coastal Petroleum Dominicana – LPG San Pedro de Macorís (República Dominicana)

The Project consists of the design, procurement, and construction for a mooring and berthing system for LPG transport vessels. IMI is developing this project by applying novel techniques using steel jackets for the construction of the 8 Breasting Dolphins and 9 Mooring Dolphins.

TTI – Bunker Fuel Transfer Pier

Telfer Tanks Inc., The project consisted in the development of marine works under an EPC modality located in the Telfer area in the city of Colon, Panama. The works included the construction of a bunker fuel transfer pier suitable for receiving Post Panamax, Panamax, and barge type vessels simultaneously under different configurations.

Melones Oil Terminal – Bunker Fuel Transfer Pier

Melones Oil Terminal Inc. The project consisted of the development of marine works under EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) modality, and is located in The Pacific Ocean, Melones Island, Panama City, Republic of Panama.

The works consisted of the construction of a bunker fuel transfer pier suitable for receiving tanker vessels of up to 70,000 DWT (Panamax) and barges simultaneously.

VOPAK –  Panama Terminal Expansion – Civil Works & EPC Sheet Piling Works Manifold 301

This project consisted of the construction of the Tank Pit Manifold, which
consisted of a 25m x 51m sheet pile perimeter with an internal division to
create two adjacent chambers with different elevations. The works consisted of the installation of the sheet piling, the fabrication and installation of precast concrete micropiles, excavation and earthfill works, the construction of 1.2m thick reinforced concrete slabs for the manifold topping and drainage trenches and pedestals upon which to install the pumps.
